Lee Erickson and Effie Siverts collaborated to redesign our all-volunteer bicycle advocacy group’s website. My goals were to update our site’s design, add new site features so visitors could see what we are involved with in our community, to improve site visitors ability to easily communicate with us, and to improve our ability to update and manage our site.
Lee was the driving force that got the ball rolling without hesitation for this project. She had a vision about what could be accomplished, with a reasonable timeframe, and she did everything she possibly could to assist me and prompt me for content or information she felt would best suit our new site. She rewrote content for many of our pages that looked very professional and improved when she spun her magic.
Effie has a creative ability to grasp my rudimentary color scheme and design ideas, while keeping in mind the goals for our new site, and turn them all into a beautifully designed website that functions really well for our needs, while employing current technology.
Additionally, Lee and Effie were able to meet deadlines and ensure that everything went off without a hitch when we went “live” with our new site.
As a result of our new website, I’ve received compliments from impressed cyclists and advocates who have visited our site, and I’ve received more contacts than ever before from cyclists who wanted to share their cycling experiences with us, join us, and volunteer their time with us.
Lee and Effie worked as a smooth flowing, cohesive website development and design team, which is not always easy to find, especially considering that they work remotely via the Internet and remotely from myself as well. I would thoroughly enjoy working on a project with either or both of them again.
